Saturday 23rd October, 10am – 5pm
was a great day for drawing!!

Lots of people came along to the free Big Draw Swindon Style special event at Swindon Designer Outlet shopping centre in Rodbourne, Swindon.

This year our Big Draw theme tied in shopping (everybody’s favourite activity!) with the Outlet’s heritage celebrations of Great Western Railway’s 175th anniversary....the British railway network first allowed the transport of consumer goods, and heralded the beginning of brands and national shopping chains that have stores at Swindon Designer Outlet today – M&S (1884), Thornton’s (1911), John Lewis (1864), Aquascutum (1851), Austin Reed (1900), and Cadbury (1824).

Did you know... Every designer item you shop for began with a drawing?

Big Draw Swindon Style had lots of different fun drawing activities:

You might be a fine artist, or you could be someone who says “I can’t draw anything” (we don’t believe that!)... it didn’t matter, people just came along and joined in. All materials were provided for you to draw on our doodle boards, sketch still life arrangements of modern and Victorian designer items and much more...
